Structural Engineer

Cadillac Fabrication is seeking an experienced Structural Engineer with a strong
background in project management and estimating, with knowledge of fabrication and
welding to add to our team.

Essential Functions:
Apply sound engineering principles and knowledge to prepare cost estimations and
manage various fabrication projects. Establish job requirements, conduct design reviews,
and prepare documentation to fabricate steel and aluminum structures and tanks of
various sizes. Responsible for managing and reviewing customer supplied drawings
and internally generated drawings for accuracy to the contract requirements. Generate
construction and fabrication drawings, documentation and submittals.

Requirements:
B.S. in Mechanical, Structural, Welding Engineering
5 years in a manufacturing environment
Competent in Microsoft Office
Strong written and verbal communication skills required
Strong organizational skills required
Must be able to work in a small office environment
P.E. or an individual wanting to obtain P.E. license preferred.
Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Solid Works a plus.
Knowledge of AISC, AWS, API, ASME a plus
Knowledge of steel and aluminum fabrication is preferred
FEA knowledge with proven experience in structural analysis a plus.

Duties:
Preparing cost estimations from engineering drawings.
Provide support to internal fabrication departments, vendors and customers
Supervising and or directing detailers.
Work on multiple projects of moderate size
Function with minimal supervision within the context of day to day activities

Working Conditions:
Work is primary an office environment
Daily interaction with management, supervision and customers

 

Structural Detailer

Cadillac Fabrication is seeking an experienced Structural Detailer with a strong
background in creating engineering drawings and knowledge of fabrication and welding
to add to our team.

Essential Functions:
Generate fabrication, assembly and approval drawings for various fabrication projects.
Create bill of materials, purchasing requirements and supporting documentation to
fabricate steel and aluminum structures and tanks of various sizes. Will work under a
lead engineer.

Requirements:
Technical degree in mechanical or structural drafting
3 years in a manufacturing environment
Competent in Microsoft Office
Strong written and verbal communication skills required
Strong organizational skills required
Must be able to work in a small office environment
Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Solid Works a plus.
Knowledge of AISC, AWS, API, ASME a plus
Knowledge of steel and aluminum fabrication is preferred
